The objective of the present investigation, arises precisely to know the basic fundamentals for the construction of a sustainable ecological garden at the end of the chimney life in the catoca mine. The improvement of the sustainable development model is now a priority for the mining industry and for the mining and environmental authorities. To achieve this, The Company must consider the basic fundamentals of building a sustainable ecological garden at the end of the chimney life at the catoca mine as an important tool to promote economic development, social progress and the protection of its natural resources. However, responsible companies do not always carry out proper planning and communities are left out of decisions that have such an impact on their well-being. For this reason, this research proposes some basic considerations that lead to sustainable development in mining, giving value to the natural resource, ensuring the participation of the mining community and, above all, respecting the environment for present and future generations; based on their needs and also allowing the improvement of their quality of life.
