Estudo do sector energético da província da Lunda Sul apoiado em indicadores energéticos de sustentabilidade

This study analyzes the following research problem: how can the sustainability of the energy sector in the province of Lunda Sul, Angola, considering current socioeconomic conditions, available resources and sustainable development objectives, using energy indicators of sustainability. The research seeks to assess the current state of the sector, identify challenges and opportunities and propose a methodology to improve sustainability energy in the region. The methodology used combines data analysis quantitative data on production, distribution and consumption of energy, with assessments qualitative aspects of energy policies and socioeconomic factors. Indicators internationally recognized, adapted to the local context, are applied to measure aspects such as energy efficiency, access to electricity, diversification of carbon sources and emissions. The results reveal an energy sector in development, with significant potential for the expansion of energy renewable sources, particularly solar and hydropower. However, challenges are identified important factors, such as limited distribution infrastructures, high dependence of fossil fuels and disparities in access to energy between urban and rural. The study concludes that although Lunda Sul has made progress, it still faces considerable obstacles to achieving energy sustainability. They are proposed recommendations that include the diversification of the energy matrix, the improving distribution efficiency and implementing policies that encourage investment in clean energy and rural electrification. This research contributes for understanding the energy landscape in Lunda Sul and offers a basis for making informed decisions in the province's future energy planning.
