Abstract

This study investigates the psychological, social, and cultural factors that contribute to the involvement of high-ranking public officials in sexual scandals, with a special focus on African contexts. Utilizing a literature review and case analysis, behavioral patterns, social influences, and cultural beliefs, such as mysticism and botany, that may be associated with such behaviors were explored. The results highlight the importance of public policies and culturally sensitive psychological interventions to prevent future scandals. However, further research is needed to fully understand the impact of these cultural factors.
