Abstract

Professional motivation in Cuban universities becomes relevant when it is intentional from the formative process, in order to raise the interest in studies and the commitment to achieve a better academic performance. The specific case of motivation in pedagogical training, acquires a crucial role, since it prepares teachers to perform in the education of future generations. For the development of the research, theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical methods were used, supported by dialectical materialism. Therefore, the objective was defined: the elaboration of a pedagogical strategy to enhance professional motivation in first-year students of the Bachelor of Primary Education. The instrumentation and application of the pedagogical strategy to develop professional motivation in such students was considered feasible. Hence, the proposal not only achieved the transformations expressed in the objective, but also enhanced the achievement of the training process’ quality to a qualitatively higher scale.
