Abstract

This research work was devoted at ¨ Lidia Doce Sánchez¨ Medical Sciences Faculty, in Mayarí municipality, during the period from October 2023 to June 2024. With the aim of proposing actions for improving the reading comprehension process by means of communicative tasks for the English teaching - learning process of the Surveillance and Antivectorial Fight Technician student’s profile. This work is the result of the application of empirics and theoretical methods that demonstrated the existence of difficulties within the reading comprehension process especially in the conception and application of the learning tasks. The communicative tasks proposed by the researcher, guarantee the transition through the three phases of the reading comprehension process, in correspondence with the level of assimilation of the students and their interests, and the most important, improves the development of communicative skills, in group and pair work.
