Didáctica del patrimonio geológico en Cuba: una propuesta mediante la disciplina investigación geológica

Abstract

The didactics of geological heritage is a recently incorporated topic in the Pedagogical Sciences. Its treatment in the Geological Engineering program in Moa, as the country's leading center for the training of these professionals, enabled the integration of heritage topics into the Earth Sciences. Reflection took place concerning the role of the didactics of geological heritage in the training of the Cuban geologist, focusing on the protection and conservation of geological heritage. For this, theoretical methods such as documentary analysis, synthesis, and hermeneutics were employed. Approaches to the didactics of geological heritage, the heritage training in the Geological Engineering program, and its importance in the training of these professionals were obtained. Its application was preceded by the necessary theoretical-methodological update of the faculty and the improvement of the program curriculum. It is considered that the didactics of geological heritage, through the discipline. Geological research is a necessity that society imposes on this profession, in order to ensure the protection of the national geological heritage.
